We just got back from a little family vacation. Jason has dreamed of going to a baseball Spring Training for years, so this year we headed to Surprise, Arizona to see the Kansas City Royals vs. the Colorado Rockies.
One of the coolest things was that as we were walking in to the stadium an elderly employee came up to the kids and gave them each a Major League foul ball. The other cool thing was that a woman came up and started chatting with me and the kids as we were waiting for autographs. She thought our kids were the cutest little things all decked out in Royals gear. She asked where we were sitting. I told her. Later on during the fourth inning, we were announced as the "Family of the Game" and won a $40 gift certificate to a local Mexican Restaurant.
"I love your funny face Your sunny, funny face. For you're a cutie With more than beautie. You've got a lot of per-son-a-li-ty. You fill the air with smiles For miles and miles and miles. Though you're no Mona Lisa, For worlds I'd not replace Your sunny, funny face."
Yesterday Luke gave himself a blue mustache, put on his superman cape, and came to find me saying "Oui, Oui"! I busted a gut! Thanks goodness for washable markers!
