Luke's First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Luke's first day of Kindergarten (we have year-round school here). It was done Open House style so that the kids (and parents) could come and meet their new teacher and do some activities that helped them get to know the classroom. The playground you see in the picture is right outside of the Kindergarten classrooms. Luke doing some "games".
Luke color, cut and gluing.
Luke reading the alphabet.
This is Luke and his teacher Mrs. Drake. He asked her if he could have a picture with her to show his little sister what she looked like.

First Collar and Tag

Slugger got his first collar and ID tag yesterday. He spends much time trying to get it off. We can't help but laugh at the ways he uses in his efforts to get rid of the new neckwear.

Love Notes

This morning I was awoken by someone leaving a slip of paper on my head. When I really woke up later I remembered the note I had moved onto the nightstand. Here is the message I read from my little son (age 4):

U
R
BTFL

I figured I knew what it said and it made me tear up, but I double checked with the author and yes friends, it says "You are beautiful".

I sure love getting love notes!
